Brianna and Brian met through mutual friends in college while attending Quinnipiac University. It was clear there was a connection early on and they started dating officially in the summer of 2019.
Brian proposed on a beach in Florida on May 4th which is “Star Wars Day.” He was wearing a Star Wars button down shirt that was a gift from Brianna. It was romantic and perfect and she, of course, said yes! The ring contains the same diamond from Brianna’s mother’s ring. She wanted them to have it and repurpose it, so they had it set in a new custom setting. It combines the tradition of “Something old and something new!”
Brian and Brianna chose Heritage Hotel in Southbury, CT because they loved the rustic vibe and the scenery for what they hoped would be a snowy wedding, which it was! They also chose New Year’s Eve as the date so that everyone was able to stay the night at the hotel after an evening of partying and dancing.
The color palette was deep burgundy red with shades of pinks for the girls and grays for the guys. The flowers matched those same colors with eucalyptus to add some green in. The colors fit the rustic, winter feel of the hotel and the time of year.
One fun touch they included was that all guests received New Year’s Eve themed gifts and noise makers to celebrate ringing in 2026 at the after-party.
Afterwards, the happy couple headed to Kennebunkport Maine for a weekend getaway where they spent most of the time in the cabin-like hotel. In the summer, they plan to travel to Antigua to enjoy a romantic island getaway.
