Amanda + Brian | CT Wedding | Tyde at Walnut Beach

Amanda and Brian’s story began long before their relationship did. After knowing each other for over 15 years through mutual friends, their connection felt effortless from the very beginning, like something that had been building all along.

Brian proposed at Amanda’s parents’ house, which made it even more meaningful. When Amanda’s parents’ dog came running out to greet them, Amanda immediately scooped her up, only to notice something unexpected: the ring gently tied to her collar! And that’s right when Brian proposed! The ring was exactly what she had always wanted: a classic, elongated diamond set on a simple band; timeless and elegant without being overdone. It was a perfect proposal!

The couple was married at Saint Gabriel’s Church with their reception at Tyde at Walnut Beach. They chose Tyde at Walnut Beach because of its modern, elevated feel with beautiful waterfront views, which aligned exactly with the atmosphere they wanted for their special day.

Their overall style was modern glam with a clean, timeless feel. They kept the color palette simple with black, white, and ivory, with added touches of gold throughout. The goal was to keep everything elevated but not overdone, letting the setting and details speak for themselves. The florals were a standout element: the bouquets and centerpieces were full white arrangements with hydrangeas and roses, layered with soft greenery for a natural contrast. These were paired with tall gold stands and candlelight, which added height, dimension, and a warm glow to the space. The result was effortlessly elegant!

Amanda and Brian really wanted their wedding to feel like a celebration rather than a traditional, structured event, so they chose to skip speeches in order to spend more time enjoying the night and being present with their guests. It allowed everything to feel more relaxed and natural, and for them to connect with everyone in attendance. One unique element was having a traveling dessert station on the dance floor with a waiter hand-piping fresh, crispy cannoli shells with sweetened ricotta cream right in front of guests.

After their wedding, Amanda and Brian traveled to Thailand, exploring different parts of the country including the cities and beaches!

Amanda and Brian’s day was the perfect balance of elegance and ease; exactly what they envisioned. It was a joy to capture every moment and were honored to be chosen as their photographers!
