Micaela + Michael | CT Wedding | South Farms

Michael and Micaela had been friends for a few years before they began dating. Michael was the General Manager where Micaela worked as a part-time waitress. One night in September of 2021, while Micaela was out with a friend, she stopped at the restaurant while Michael was working. After her friend left, she asked Michael if he could drive her home. They talked for a couple of hours and shared their first kiss. From there they knew something was different but continued as friends. Come February 2022, they both confessed feelings that they couldn't ignore and soon began dating afterwards.

Michael planned to propose around the holidays knowing it was Micaela’s favorite time of year. He took her on a date to Hubbard Park to look at the Christmas lights and brought her up on stage where he got down on one knee. He even hired a photographer to capture it all! Afterwards, they went out to dinner to celebrate.

Micaela and Michael chose South Farms in Litchfield County because it was unique and rustic for a fall wedding. They also wanted a place where both the ceremony and reception could happen. To match the fall vibes, they chose chose terracotta and rust red for the main color scheme with gold as an accent. The florals were the same colors with greenery and along with velvet pumpkins, pinecones, and logs on the reception tables. Different engagement photos were the centerpieces which completed the tablescape.

They also included a couple of special personal details throughout the day. During the wedding ceremony, a worship song played while their grandmothers prayed around them and Micaela’s brother-in-law officiated the ceremony. For the cocktail hour and reception, they came up with signature drinks named after their dogs.

There was so much love, laughter, and dancing as the reception got underway. It was truly a fun wedding. Congrats Michael and Micaela; we hope these photos bring a smile to your faces!
