Alyssa and Sean were married at the charming Smith Farm Gardens in East Haddam, CT. This was our first time shooting a wedding here and we fell in love with the grounds which include a farmhouse, expansive green lawns, flower gardens, an apple orchard, and walking trails. It was the perfect fall venue for Alyssa and Sean’s special day.

Alyssa and her bridal party got ready inside the farmhouse which was both rustic and modern. After doing individual portraits, she and Sean had their first look outside on the front porch. Because this property is so unique, we really wanted to use the house and grounds and incorporate all the things they loved about the venue into the photos with both the couple and their wedding party. We especially loved the photos with the 1954 yellow Chevy pick up truck!
The tented ceremony was simple and sweet with a beautiful rustic backdrop adorned with white flowers and greenery. Lindsey from Unique Melody Events and Design helped bring Alyssa and Sean’s vision to life and put all the pieces together for the day. Another fun element were the food trucks that had some really unique offerings.
