Elizabeth + Jonathan | CT Wedding | Saint Clements Castle

Elizabeth and Jonathan met in 2018 when they were both out with friends in San Diego, and the rest as they say, is history! In 2021, they made the decision to move back to the East Coast, to be closer to their families.

Elizabeth and JB (Jonathan’s nickname) started doing date nights every Saturday where they took turns surprising one another. One Saturday, JB told Elizabeth they were going to a nice steakhouse for dinner after a walk along the water. When they got there, JB said he wanted to take a selfie. Instead, he grabbed a ring and got down on one knee! Afterwards, they met their families for dinner to celebrate!

Elizabeth and JB chose Saint Clements Castle because they loved the beautiful gardens and the character of the property. When they saw it, they just knew it was where they wanted to have their special day.

For the color scheme and accents, Elizabeth first chose the bridesmaid dresses. She decided on three complementing green shades and then chose lighter colored, summer flowers mixed with eucalyptus to balance it out. The ceremony arch had florals similar to the bouquets, with a sheer white overlay partially hiding the wood frame to make the look a bit softer.

To incorporate some personal elements, they first chose Elizabeth’s uncle as their wedding officiant. For the reception, she and JB included jerseys of their favorite baseball teams at the sweetheart table: Yankees and Red Sox. They also incorporated their grandparents who they both lost and were close with. In addition, they added a third parent dance, to incorporate their mom and dad. JB danced with Elizabeth’s mom and Elizabeth danced with JB’s dad. All together, it was very special for them and their families.

Elizabeth and JB, we hope your day was everything you wished for and thank you for having us be a part of it!
