Haley + Jimmy | RI Wedding | Shelter Harbor Inn

Haley and Jimmy met playing volleyball with mutual friends. The two of them connected over a love of volleyball as well as family when they met. Jimmy wowed Haley on their first date by showing up with her favorite New Haven pizza, baked goods, and adorable pumpkins to paint!

Jimmy proposed at their annual Halloween party, where they were dressed up as Sunny and Cher, full wigs and all. Surrounded by family, friends, and lots of Halloween decorations, it was very memorable proposal. Of course Haley said yes!

Being from Rhode Island, Haley had spent many summers along the Westerly coast so it was only natural to look close to home for wedding venues. Haley and Jimmy loved the eclectic decorations and friendliness of the staff when they visited Shelter Harbor Inn. They went in the winter so they were able to see everything that their event could be which made them excited!

Their color palette was varying shades of greens - sage, forest, and rosemary- as it’s both Haley and Jimmy’s favorite color. Their style was very classic for a winter wedding, inspired with lots of greenery and wood and gold accents. Much of the decor was thrifted and upcycled by the couple which made it even more special and unique to them!

Haley and Jimmy wanted a more intimate wedding so that they could spend time with all their guests; they really wanted to make sure everyone left feeling warm and well fed. They bought disposable cameras to help everyone capture the day from their perspectives and plan to develop the memories to keep at home. For a personal touch, they included hand written place cards and stamped seed packets to give out as favors.

Although the couple didn’t go on a honeymoon right way, they do have a trip to Greece scheduled for this fall! It’s been on Haley’s bucket list for both the beaches and historic sights.

Congratulations Haley and Jimmy! We were honored to be part of your wedding day!
