Alexis + Jason | CT Wedding | The Pavilion at Crystal Lake

Alexis and Jason met at The Hartt School where they are both actors. They did some scenes and shows together and ended up falling in love. Since then, they’ve traveled the world singing and acting together.

Alexis and Jason were doing a show out in New Hampshire. Their parents were visiting to see the show and the next morning they all went out for brunch. When they got to the restaurant they said they didn't have a table available so they went outside to a little balcony overlooking a beautiful waterfall. Jason pulled Alexis aside and started whispering everything he loved about her and then he dropped to one knee, pulled out a gorgeous ring, and proposed! Alexis responded with "YES! A MILLION TIMES, YES!!!" Then some of their best friends popped out with cameras from afar! Jason had reserved a beautiful private room at the restaurant that was decorated with sunflowers, which are Alexis’s favorite flower. They had a wonderful day celebrating their engagement with their family and friends.

They chose The Pavilion at Crystal Lake because it is a beautiful and charming venue. They loved that it is upscale and dreamy but still rustic and sweet. They also love that it has both indoor and outdoor elements, which allowed guests to enjoy the Connecticut weather and views. Their wedding colors were burgundy and yellow. Alexis chose sunflowers because they always face the sun and the light and they inspire her to look towards the light and positivity in her own life. Overall, they wanted an upscale rustic, farm-chic vibe.

Alexis and Jason found personal ways to make their day fun and memorable. There were yard games outside that was a tribute to their love of games. Alexis’s grandmother was her flower girl. The professor who assigned Alexis and Jason their first scene together almost 9 years ago did a reading. Their close friend and cast-mate from when they were all singers on a cruise ship sang while they walked down the aisle while their other college professor created and played an arrangement of "Can't Help Falling in Love." The happy couple treated everyone to an up-tempo and fun first dance that involved their best friends. Overall, their wedding day reflected their sense of humor, happiness and love of our friends and family. Lastly, their favors were little bottle openers that showed how they like to party!
