Kim + Christopher | CT Wedding | Aria Banquet

During the summer of 2009, Kim was invited out with friends to celebrate a friend's birthday at a nightclub called Monet in Providence, RI. Chris was also in the area that weekend visiting a close friend and they ended up at the same place. A little scuffle broke out on the dance floor and Kim and Chris wound up next to each other. They started talking and dancing and at the end of the night, it was Kim who asked Chris for his number! Because Kim lived in MA and Chris in CT, they took turns traveling to see each other every other weekend. This continued for about a year until 2010 when they moved in together.

After dating for a few years, friends and family started asking when Chris would propose. Chris reached out to one of Kim's closest friends to see if she knew what Kim liked and was looking for in a ring. Chris took this information to the family jewelry store and designed the ring with his mother’s help. It was just another ordinary weekday when Kim came home from work. She put down her things and went to sit on the couch with Chris and their dog CoCo. That's when Chris decided to pop the question! He pulled the small box out of his pocket and completely surprised Kim. It was the perfect intimate moment!

Kim and Chris wanted a simple, but elegant wedding and knew Aria was the place! They loved the ballroom with the stunning outdoor space (perfect for a summer outdoor ceremony and cocktail hour) and its great view. The color palette was a classic white, grey, and navy scheme which was incorporated throughout their day from the flowers, suits, and dresses, to the reception tables and linens! We also loved Kim’s jeweled blue bridal heels (her something blue)!

The ceremony was touching and intimate (Chris may have shed a tear or two when Kim was walking down the aisle) while the reception was a ton of fun, especially when Kim showed off her dj’ing talents!

Kim and Chris, thank you so much for having us as your photographers and we hope you cherish these photos for many years to come! Congratulations!
