Vanessa and Marcel are a couple who were destined to meet.
One day, back in 2014, Vanessa spotted Marcel while at the gym. She thought to herself “Hmmmm…. He’s cute! And he looks familiar!” Well, low and behold, she came to realize, they were “friends” on Facebook! A few months later, she got a message from Marcel asking if she’d like to go on a date and the rest is history!
Marcel proposed surrounded by his family while on vacation in Punta Cana. Everyone headed to the beach to ring in the New Year together. As the clock hit midnight, Vanessa turned around and found Marcel on one knee holding the most beautiful ring! It was certainly a memorable way to start 2016!
Before the ceremony, Vanessa and her bridal party enjoyed champagne and laughter while getting ready. She then took a moment alone to read a special letter from Marcel. Vanessa had also written a love note to her groom, which he read before leaving for the church. We loved this special and intimate touch!
Vanessa and Marcel were married at The Church of the Incarnation in Wethersfield, CT, followed by the reception at Aria in Prospect, CT. The grand ballroom was absolutely beautiful with its gorgeous open views and a dance floor large enough to fit all of their family and friends!
Vanessa chose blush pink and gold for the wedding colors. Her bridesmaids wore blush chiffon strapless gowns and carried bouquets of light pink and ivory colored roses. The reception tables were draped with ivory colored linens and white hydrangeas held up by gold vases and jeweled tear drops. So elegant!
The happy couple entered their reception atop a balcony and descended the curved staircase for their first dance as husband and wife. Then the DJ turned up the volume and got everyone moving! The dance floor was packed the whole night and it was clear everyone was having a great time!
The night ended with sparklers and Vanessa and Marcel reflecting on everything coming together in just the way they had imagined!
