Erika + Paul | CT Wedding | Preston Ridge Vineyard

Erika and Paul both worked summers at Lake Compounce but didn’t know each other until Erika helped Paul find a missing box. Paul suggested drinks as a thank you and they hit it off!

Paul proposed while he and Erika were walking along the beach looking across the Sound to Watch Hill. He surprised Erika with an “early anniversary gift”: a rope necklace that he made himself. After he hung it around Erika’s neck, she looked down to see a diamond ring was looped on!

Erika and Paul were married in an outdoor wedding ceremony on a beautiful September day. They chose the Preston Ridge Winery which boasts rolling countryside views. Their first date was at the vineyard and it has held a special place in their heart ever since! The reception was held nearby at Lake of Isles, part of the Foxwoods Resort and Casino.  It was the perfect balance of rustic and elegant.

We loved so many aspects of their day, including the pearl necklace Erika wore that was given to her when she was little from her grandmother. Another was getting to experience Foxwood's newly opened Thrill Tower with Paul and his groomsmen! This was followed by the couple's first look down at the shoreline.

Rustic elegance with wine and travel were the themes incorporated throughout the day. Guests enjoyed wine from the vineyard prior to the ceremony. The centerpieces at the reception were a mixture of wine bottles and flowers, the card and gift table was beautifully decorated with a vintage card box, and the bottles labeled with different foreign destinations tied everything together.

Thank you so much for inviting us to share in your special day! Our best wishes to a wonderful couple!
